9/10 Art Excursion to Art Rage
On Thursday 19th May, Miss Lewis' 9/10 Art class visited the Salamanca Arts Centre to view the travelling exhibition 'Art Rage', which featured the art work of talented Year 11/12 students from 2021. The works demonstrated a range of mediums, from ceramic and wood, to oil paint and film. The students were asked to pick their favourite works and had the opportunity to vote in the People's Choice award. Back in class, they have been reflecting on which works they liked the most, and how they can bring some of the skills and ideas they viewed into their own art works in class.

Lucy Cane (Year 9) reflected; 'Art Rage was an amazing art display of what we could be doing in the future years. It also showed that we can expand our art into showing modern day problems or struggles you could have. It really showed us how to push the boundaries of how we can express ourselves in our art.'
Senior Drama Rehearsals
This term our Senior Drama Students have been working hard, including committing to learning lines and lunchtime rehearsals! We are extremely proud of our Theatre cohort, and encourage families to Save the Date to attend the public performances of our production, AFRAID OF THE DARK, Thursday, 30th June and Friday, 1st July. There will also be matinee performances for some student audiences, taking place in weeks 9 and 10. More details to come, but for now please enjoy these rehearsal photos!

A big thank you also to the students who stayed behind on Wednesday to help paint our glorious new set!
