ABORIGINAL EDUCATION
NAIDOC Week
The College has celebrated NAIDOC week with many activities and special guests.
Kinder students created artwork based on Dreaming stories. Local Aboriginal artist Michelle Synnott helped students in Prep and Grade 2 to create kelp craft. Grade 1 students created rain sticks. Grade 3 students sat down with Uncle Rodney Dillon who explained the meaning and importance of this year's NAIDOC week theme. Aboriginal students in Grades 3 and 4 went on an excursion to Fanny Cochrane Smith's museum in Nicholls Rivulet. Students in Grade 5 and 6 participated in activities including painting emu eggs and designing artwork based on this year's theme 'Always Was, Always Will Be'
