Muso's Corner
We are happy to be welcoming some new Music tutors to the Middle Campus this year. Featured in this issue is Ben Brinkhoff, who some of you will know from the Junior Campus. Ben is now teaching guitar and bass at the Middle Campus. He is also directing the College jazz band.
Ben has been playing music for most of his life and teaching for over twenty years. His enthusiasm for music continues to grow as he sees the benefits it brings in so many ways to so many people.
As well as teaching, Ben runs music programs for people with disabilities and performs regularly in a range of styles, as one of the busiest bass players around Hobart. For the majority of his gigs, Ben plays the double bass (the "enormous violin"), often electric bass guitar, and occasionally regular guitar.
Pictured above is Ben performing at the opening of Mona Foma this year.
If your child is interested in private music lessons, the College has excellent tutors that teach piano, guitar, drums, voice and a variety of wind instruments.
