Grade 9/10 Biology and Life Science

This term in Grade 9/10 Biology students have been focusing on building their skills in dissection work. Over the last few weeks, students have got to dissect squids and gastropods.

Senior Drama Production

This term Senior Drama are presenting Greek Theatre Performances. These were held in week three over two lunchtimes in the gym from the beginning of lunch.  The name of the performance is Hades and Persephone a tragedy. Greek Theatre is a ritualistic art form that celebrates the Olympian gods who often appeared as characters. Dionysus, god of wine was honoured at the dramatic festivals. Legendary Kings and heroes were often portrayed as well.  During this time business and everyday activities were suspended during the week-long festivals held three times per year.  It was considered a Civic Duty for people to participate in the productions in some way. The plays were presented to the public to provide moral lessons for the people.
