ACTING PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
We thank you Lord, for this term. For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends. Give us strength and courage to do what is right; to be witnesses of our faith. Help us to be a practical Christian these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others, to be peacemakers in our family. Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun. Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term. May we always be conscious of you in our lives.
Amen.
Many of us may be missing out on our winter escape overseas but one thing for which we can all be very grateful, is that we have the most scenic island state to call home and holiday in. So get out and enjoy it! Stay safe.
WHERE ARE WE AT WITH COVID-19?
Mr Cameron Brown, Director: South from CET, contacted Principals to inform them that this week we will receive a new set of directives around easing COVID restrictions. He also stated that Principals would be having a zoom meeting to clarify any questions arising from these directives.
Later today I will forward these directives to you so that you know where we stand for the start of term 3.

A very warm greeting from all the Tasmanian Catholic Schools Parents Council members.
We are delighted to say that we now have 19 Council members representing parents of their respective schools, which is fantastic. The St Aloysius Catholic College member is Mrs Phillipa Morgan.
This communication is to draw your attention to our Facebook page and website.
We are now ensuring we post relevant articles, news and information to our Facebook page, and we have updated much of the information on our website.
SACC EXTENSION - YEARS 11 & 12
As you are aware, from the College and Parish community email distributed last Wednesday, a public announcement was made at Parliament House last week confirming that, following the detailed investigation and pre-preparation process, Catholic Education in the southern region will be extending three colleges, St Aloysius Catholic College, MacKillop College and St Virgils College to Years 11 and 12, .
The final confirmation from His Grace Archbishop Porteous that the planned extension will officially proceed, gives us the opportunity to begin consulting with the extended SACC community. We look forward to working with many of you as part of this process.
