KINGSTON CAMPUS NEWS
BUSH SKILLS

During Friday lunch time club Bush Skills, Oliver Burton came up with a fantastic idea for the children participating in these weekly sessions to plan them so as to create more ownership over each session from the chld's perspective. Oliver planned the last few weeks of these sessions in Term 2, where we could go out into our school context to find 'art in nature', and photograph this. Alice Baldwin was kind enough to bring in some charcoal and children chose an element of nature which inspired them the most and recreated this through black felt pen and charcoal illustrations.

GRADE 3 ART

For our eye art we used special pencils and a piece of paper. We watched a YouTube video that helped us to do it. It was really fun and difficult and I think we all did a great job and they all look AMAZING! We also did it in white and black as a shading project.

We had a white piece of paper, a video up on the screen and a special pencil. We all found it difficult but we got through. There were lots of steps! They all came out really AMAZING! We all took a really long time to do the iris. I found it really fun because I love art. I think nearly everyone enjoyed doing it. We did them in black and white and I can't wait to do another thing like this because it was probably the funnest thing I have done in art. I liked it so much I did a smaller one in my free time.
